Diablo 2 For Mac

I recently reinstalled D2 and got hooked again pretty fast, such an amazing game! I was playing on Battlenet and got a bit tired of picking up scraps left by botters so I decided to try it out Single Player, specially since hearing about Plugy which allows you an infinite and shared stash.

But I play on a Mac and the internet wasn't very encouraging. I did however find a solution so I come and share it here with you. The first thing to use is Porting kit: Then download the 1.13 version of diablo2, i found a torrent link on this reddit link and it worked (the other links were broken but torrent still active): And finally you want to download the Plugy installer v11.02 (.exe): Now to make sense of it all, you should launch the porting kit, go in the Library tab and select server. It will load up all the windows apps that you can install through Porting kit.

Make a search for Diablo2 and click to Install. It will create a 'wrapper' (don't ask.) and then ask you to browse for the d2 install.exe ( that you got from the torrent file) Repeat with LoD and with the 1.13d patch ( all in the torrent file) So far this was the easy part.

You should be able to play d2 version 1.13 from the porting kit ( or an icon that shows on the desktop) We want Plugy so we need to install that. Go into Porting Kit, tab Library and Local.

You should see Diablo 2 Right click and Show in Finder. Then right click on the Diablo 2 icon and select Show Package Content. You should see a Wineskin icon, double click on that and in the menu select 'install software' Go and look for the Plugy installer.exe that you got earlier and install it. You should be good to go. To launch the game, it unfortunately doesn't work with the Porting Kit icon, so I have to navigate in Finder to the Plugy folder and double click on the Plugy.exe Enjoy!
